John Reed Book Distribution offers fast and efficient service and delivery of our many unique and specialist titles throughout Australia.

After dabbling in newsagencies, bakeries and French Patisseries, John and Inga Reed decided to return to their passion, books, and in 1997, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, John Reed Book Distribution opened. Now based in Tea Gardens, NSW the business has grown immensely and proud to boast many fabulous publishers.

By way of background, John's involvement in the book trade has been extensive both in Australia and New Zealand.  He started in the family company, Reed Books, in Wellington too far back to remember, opened a branch of that company in Australia and went back to live in NZ for a
couple of years before the company was sold to overseas interests.  Inga, John's wife, has had extensive experience in accounting and bookkeeping activities and is co-director of the company.

Di Baily, our vibrant marketing director has travelled the world extensively and brings a wealth of knowledge and proficiency to the company. John Reed Books is proud to be a family owned company and as of this year, we can safely say it will stay that way, with John and Inga’s daughter, Rebecca (now a Tansey) joining the company.

We take pride in the service we offer, and the speed with which we get orders out to customers.
